Imagine her singing this song in a soft...groooovy....jazzy...mesmorizing.....seductive....Nora Jones-like ballroom slow-dance white-wine in a glass kind of style of "Born to be wild."

NOTE: I know Barbara Streisand and "Born to be wild" are not Canadian....BUT CBC Radio in Inuvik, NWT was playing rock songs covered by artists from other genres to show how the lyrics have different meanings when sung differently.

So it WAS a Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) show.

The guy on the CBC radio show said "I'd LOVEEEEE to hear Barbara Streisand attempt to sing "Born to be willllld"

What the average Canadian would think of that production. (I'm just curious). This is a serious question.

I think it would be funny! I doubt I'd listen to it more than once. I'm sure it is or would be along the same lines as Pat Boone doing "Crazy Train". (Check the link for samples if you care.)

And while Barbara is not Canadian "Born to be wild" certainly is.

It was written by Mars Bonfire and made famous by Steppenwolf. Both Canadian so that would make it Canadian in my books.
